A Student With Experience

At 29 years old, I decided to make a change in my life and I moved from Washington state to Colorado to pursue a degree in Computer Science. Now at 32, I am currently a Senior at CU Boulder and will graduate with my BA of Compuer Science in May of 2023 with a minor in Philosophy. Prior to leaving for Colorado, I worked for a decade in healthcare where I was a team lead for a group of Certified Nursing Assistans, as well as Director of Maintenance for the same company where I directly supervised a team of housekeepers.

As I look to the future, I am currently on the hunt for a position as an engineer. I specialize in front-end development, cybersecurity, database management and software development.

A life-long learner

My learning and thirst for knowledge does not stay in the classroom. I am always searching for knowledge and applying what I have learned towards my own life, professonally and personally. Beyond my college education I am currently working towards obtaining several certificates including my AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification and my Comp TIA Security + certificate. I am also a person with a desire to learn outside of the professional sphere. As an avid snowboarder, I have recently started to learn how to backcountry ride and am enrolled in avalanche safety training.

PlaySwap

An iOS mobile application written in Swift which allows users to swap playlists between Spotify and Apple Music.

An old school command line, text-based memory game written in Java where players run an ice cream store and must complete increasingly complex customer orders.
